Project Purchasing Specialist (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- As a core team member, you will take full responsibility for all purchasing activities throughout the PEP phase and serve as the first point of contact for all relevant purchasing topics. This includes handling different RFQ types, classifying projects, preparing price matrices, and evaluating bills of materials.
- In close coordination with Strategic Purchasing, you will support the selection of suitable suppliers, contribute to RFI and sourcing processes, and prepare sourcing boards as well as make-or-buy decisions. In addition, you will develop second-source strategies and support the further development of suitable suppliers for prototype and series production.
- During direct interaction with our suppliers, you will conduct technical discussions, concept competitions, and price negotiations. Together with Quality, you will also define the required quality standards, organize sample parts for the plant, and negotiate corresponding sample prices.
- Throughout the entire product development process, you will process Engineering Change Requests, drive design-to-cost activities, and prepare contract closures for Strategic Purchasing. Maintaining relevant material master data in SAP will also be part of your responsibilities.
- Following a successful start of series production, you will ensure a structured handover to Plant Purchasing in Poland. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the continuous development of purchasing processes within PEP projects.
Your Qualifications:
- You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Technical Business Administration, or a comparable field of study.
- Several years of professional experience in project purchasing or technical purchasing within an industrial environment are required. Ideally, you have more than seven years of experience in Purchasing, Supplier Quality Engineering, or Supplier Management and are familiar with the automotive environment of a Tier 1 supplier.
- Managing purchasing volumes in the double-digit million range is familiar to you, and you bring sound experience in supplier selection, cost evaluation, and negotiation.
- Additional qualifications as an auditor or Six Sigma Black Belt are an advantage and will help you get started with complex purchasing and optimization projects at JOYNEXT.
- Strong teamwork skills, assertiveness, and negotiation skills distinguish you, together with a responsible and confident personality. Good English skills are required, while additional foreign languages are considered an advantage.
