For our Dresden location, we are looking for you to strengthen our team in a full-time position
VAVE Manager (m/f/d)

 

Your Task:

 

  • The position involves the strategic development, continuous enhancement, and sustainable establishment of the VAVE working model across the entire product lifecycle.
  • The scope of responsibilities includes defining, implementing, and deploying VAVE principles, methods, tools, and target systems in close collaboration with relevant functional departments.
  • A key element of the role is the planning, leadership, and facilitation of cross-functional Value Analysis and Value Engineering workshops to identify and realize cost and value optimization opportunities.
  • Close collaboration with R&D, Purchasing, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, and strategic suppliers forms the basis for analyzing products, processes, and supply chains.
  • The role further includes steering, tracking, and transparent reporting of VAVE initiatives, including business cases, decision-making materials, and the measurement of realized savings in alignment with corporate strategy.

 

Your Qualification:

 

  • A completed bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline is required, combined with several years of professional experience in the automotive electronics environment.
  • Solid knowledge of electronic components and the relevant component market is expected, along with a proven track record in delivering cost reduction and VAVE initiatives.
  • A high level of expertise in cost management is essential, particularly in VAVE, design-to-cost, and should-cost methodologies, as well as in the economic evaluation of technical solutions.
  • A deep technical understanding of hardware development processes, automotive functional safety, and embedded systems is required, complemented by strong analytical skills and project management competence.
  • The ideal candidate is a results-driven and assertive personality with strong communication and intercultural skills, demonstrating confidence in an international, English-speaking work environment.
