For our location in Dresden, we are looking for you to join our team full-time as a
Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Tasks:
- You will take responsibility for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with suppliers as part of the PDP/PEP process, including sample planning and handling complaints.
- As a core team member of Team One, you will actively contribute to multiple projects, collaborating closely with project procurement and R&D to define quality specifications and carry out feasibility studies with suppliers.
- Your duties will include monitoring production processes such as PCB, semiconductors, mechanics, software, and E/E architecture while ensuring that software development by service providers aligns with the quality milestones specified in the SOW.
- You will conduct R@R and VDA 6.3 process audits at supplier sites, establish quality plans in coordination with supplier development, and perform thorough risk assessments.
- Ensuring supplier industrialization complies with customer-specific requirements (CSR) will be part of your role. Additionally, you will oversee the approval of all PPAPs before SOP and ensure that finished products and software are handed over for series production.
Your Qualifications:
- You hold a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and have over five years of experience in the automotive industry, complemented by expertise in quality assurance, metrology, and manufacturing processes.
- Additionally, you possess in-depth product knowledge of the PEP process and bring substantial project experience in developing electromechanical products.
- Your background includes certifications as an internal or lead auditor under IATF 16949 or A-SPICE, ideally enriched with knowledge of quality aspects related to functional safety (FUSI).
- You demonstrate a readiness to travel extensively (over 30%) and have strong intercultural skills, particularly in working with Asian suppliers, alongside excellent negotiation capabilities.
- Proficiency in relevant standards and core tools such as FMEA, MSA, APQP, and PPAP is among your strengths. You are fluent in English, and additional language skills are advantageous.
